The proven series of GNS FM9 TMC adapters is now extended by a very interesting model. Up to now, the GNS FM9 TMC cables where device-specifical and connected to the power jack. The GNS FM9 TrafficBox Plus Bt however is the first TMC adapter with an integrated bluetooth module. Thanks to it's bluetooth interface, this TMC cable can be connected to almost all bluetooth compatible Pocket PCs and Smartphones.

Condition for this is, that your Pocket PC or Smartphone with integrated GPS device uses a navigation software, which is compatible to GNS TMC and is equipped with a bluetooth chipset. Thus your device is enablded to use RDS/TMC signals too. The traffic messages received from the GNS FM9 TMC adapter are forwarded to the navigation software, so that an alternative route can be calcualted under consideration of the new traffic conditions.

The installation of the Bluetooth GNS FM9 TMC adapter is very easy. It just happens hidden in the Radio cage or under the dashboard. Simply unplug the antenna cable from your radio and connect it to the one end of the GNS FM9 TMC cable. The other end of the TMC adapter's antenna cable must now be connected to the antenna jack of your radio. Finally, the power cord of the TMC adpter must be connected to 12V ignition power.

Of Course, the GNS FM9 TrafficBox plus BT is also TMC Pro compatible.
